Suffering is a real issue demanding real answers.
Suffering is a result of sin
A closer look at sin; rejecting God and his rule.
“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you” (Genesis 3:17 – 18)
So, can we blame God?
Suffering is not usually a direct result of our behaviour.
Dealing with suffering means dealing with the cause
God’s solution to the problem of suffering (Mark 15:33 – 34)
At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon. And at three in the afternoon, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). (Mark 15: 33 – 34)
God promises freedom from pain (Revelation 21 & 22)
So, what do we do while we wait?
