Sermon outline
When God is unknown …
We live in a world where God often doesn’t seem clear
Jesus is God made clear (John 14:6–10)
Jesus is God made clear, even in other cultures, and even amidst religious pluralism (Acts 17:16–34)
As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead. “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah,” he said (Acts 17:2-3)
Since God has been made clear, it’s not enough simply to be sincere
Jesus is God made clear, so we turn to God (Acts 17:29–31)
Jesus is God made clear to us
Don’t treat the known as unknown
